Hydropower ownership transfer benefits Khimti locals, The Rising Nepal, 26.03.2010 Press Release | May 24, 2010

On 11 May 2014, Minister of Energy, Ms Radha Kumari Gyawali visited the Khimti Hydropower Project. Prior to visiting the Khimti Powerhouse, Ms Gyawali met with HPL General Manager, Tom Kristian Larsen in the site office, where they talked on the substantial community development programs undertaken by HPL over the years, the need for the Khimti Rural Electrification Cooperative to have a connection agreement with NEA and some of the concerns raised by NEA and the government of Nepal with HPL. Following the visit to Khimti, Ms Gyawali participated in the 6th annual general meeting of KREC.
