Climate Change Impact on Hydrological Regime- Impact on Hydropower

Statkraft and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) decided to work together in furthering the understanding of climate change impact on hydrological regime in the region and resulting impacts on hydropower development. Studies were conducted to make a detailed review on the state of knowledge regarding climate change and its connections to changes in the cryosphere and hydrology with specific focus on impacts for hydropower development.
In this context a workshop was held on December 14, 2015 with objectives 1) to disseminate the findings of the review and receive feedback from experts and 2) to improve the understanding on the impact of climate change on hydropower and prepare for the detailed study.

HPL Deputy GM HPL, Tor Bendik Midtgarden participated in the workshop whereas, Mr. Khadga Bisht HPL Manager, participated as IPPAN President.
