Khimti visit by Chilime Hydropower Company (Ltd.), Nepal News | July 28, 2014

A team of 5 persons comprising both technical as well as administrative personnel from Chilime Hydropower Company (Ltd), a subsidiary company of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), visited the Khimti Hydroelectric Project site from 25-28 June 2014. The purpose of the visit was to learn the best practices observed in areas of plant operation, maintenance, spare strategies and inventory management.

The following topics were covered in a two-day-long session with the Chilime team:

• Safety first: Highlighting the importance of RUO (reporting of unwanted occurrences), JSA (job safety analysis and PTW (Permit to work) system.
• A PowerPoint presentation on ‘High plant availability as a result of focus in operation and maintenance
• Orientation on JobTech and RCM analysis; access control and visitor monitoring system.
