Khimti visit by Druk Green Power Corporation Limited, Bhutan News | July 15, 2014

A team of 9 personnel from Druk Green Power Corporation Limited, a state owned utility company in Bhutan, visited the Khimti Hydropower Project site on 13-15 Jul 2014. The team comprised of managers from both technical and financial sectors representing Chhukha (336MW), Basochhu (64MW), Kurichhu (60MW) and Tala Hydropower (1020MW). The team was led by Mr. Pasang Dorji, Head of Corporate Planning and Strategy Division.

The visit was meant for sharing and learning experiences at Khimti on the benchmark study: ‘Measuring Cost-Effectiveness in Hydropower Generation’ conducted by HPL. The Druk team appreciated the hospitality and sharing of experiences that helped address key concerns about Weighted Maintenance Objects WMO benchmarking. The visit was said to be very fruitful. The closing dinner was organized with Khimti staff and family, where girls from Khimti Project School presented a cultural show. Druk Green Power’s Mr. Yeshey Samdrup’s performance of the Nepali song ‘Wari jamuna…’ was the main attraction of the
