The support of HPL to the Khimti Project School and the clinic facility at Kirne through Dhulikhel Hospital have continued with twenty-four hours emergency service by ambulance.
Rural Electrification Programmes
JREDP II (Jhankre Rural Electrification and Development Project Phase II) has been completed successfully with more than 4600 households electrified in total. Several rural development activities have also been carried out and a number of small and medium sized enterprises have been established through the project.
In order to continue the successful rural electrification efforts and community development activities in the areas surrounding the Khimti plant, HPL has initiated the Khimti Neighborhood Development Project (KiND)

The relationship with the Government of Nepal continues to be cordial.
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)
NEA’s payment record has been timely throughout the period. Relations with NEA are amicable and progressing well.
Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN)
HPL continues its membership in IPPAN and actively supports the need to strengthen the organization.
